I have been dying to share this awesome Big Island proposal! After weeks of planning we finally were ready to set things in motion while very carefully looking into weather updates!
The weather looked like it could rain at any point and was unpredictable. The forecast predicted 10-20% chance of scattered rain but, it looks like the forecast was going to be wrong, again! This is not really a surprise on an island where weather predictions are often wrong. Josh decided that we go for it, the plan was set! I staked out the spot and waited. It stayed dry through the proposal itself and for some time after. Oh, SHE SAID YES, btw! And then the rain came and because they were off to a fancy celebratory dinner afterwards, we decided to cut the session short and meet up for another session a few days later, on the same spot.
Then that day came. “It’s raining over here, how is the weather over there?”, I texted Josh. “It’s perfect over here!”, he responded. So I quickly drove the 8-10 minutes north to Hapuna and met them there instead. And the freaking sunset delivered for these two lovely people!! What a joy truly to capture such a special time in two people’s lives! I think I was almost as nervous as Josh was 😉
Congratulations, Josh and Gina! Enjoy your engagement and have a fun time wedding planning 🙂
