Black Sand Beach Adventure, Big Island Wedding Photographer

I just sent off my last Big Island wedding photo gallery for my last wedding I ever captured before the stay-in-place order for the Big Island (I will be blogging more on that in the coming weeks)! It is certainly bittersweet. While I feel really accomplished to get all the remaining galleries edited and sent to my couples and families and I am enjoy a lot of the time with my kids (my husband is an essential worker so he is still working, unfortunately a bit more than usual); I also feel extremely sad for all the rescheduled family sessions and weddings. Meeting new people, documenting the happy memories and capturing the love is my absolute favorite part of this job. And while it is great to be caught up with editing work, I miss that part of it and I hope it won’t be too long before I can capture those moments again!

In some happy news I will also now finally have the more time to catch up on my blogging 😉 And I have quite a bit to catch up on. Big Island weddings will resume one day and I cannot wait to photograph the heck out of them when it is safe. But for now, enjoy all the beautiful Hawaii weddings and families I will be sharing in the next few weeks.

Holly and Tobin were on the Big Island and it was such a honor to capture their couples/anniversary session! We ventured by Kiholo Bay, one of my favorite adventure spots on the west side. The sweeping views of the Kohala Mountain down to the Kiawe forest reserve and finally the beautiful black sand beach of Kiholo Bay. And as usual the sunset did not disappoint! Whether you are coming to Hawaii for honeymoon or celebrating and anniversary—get it captured!
