Are you thinking about popping that BIG question during your trip to Hawaii? Please consider getting engagement photos on the Big Island, Hawaii! I promise you, you won’t regret it! It may feel like a complicated plan, but I will be with you every step of the way! First, we start with how you want to propose. In most cases, I end up being a ninja somewhere behind a bush or tree waiting for the big moment. Other times I blend in with the crowd—just another lady doing selfies on the beach 🙂
With this session, Vincent booked a “couples session” for the two of them with a surprise proposal about ten to fifteen minutes in the session. In this case, I didn’t have to hide. Here I was just one of the many Big Island photographers, who met up with them on the beach and are there to take photos during their vacation and stay at Mauna Lani Auberge. You cannot imagine how hard it is to keep that excitement in knowing something big is about to happen! I usually have the couple wait a while and get them comfortable in front of the camera first. Also to now give any hint that something is about to go down!
Second, we pick the location. There are tons of options but depending on how you will actually pop the question may be important in choosing a location and the best hiding spots available for me, aka the ninja! Some locations don’t really have great hiding options and tend to have people walking by frequently. So for surprise proposals I narrow down the locations to make sure, you are exactly where you should be and the plan has a very slim chance of getting photobomb by someone else!!!
