I have been dying to share this Waimea engagement session at sunset up Old Saddle Road. We had planned to shoot by the Parker Ranch fields in Waimea for weeks but the weather that week was so unpredictable that I decided to head up to our backup spot instead. We shot the whole session pretty much on the side of the road. It was challenging but if you know me, I am always up for shooting in challenging conditions! How can I make this side of the road look stunning?
If you have driven up Old Saddle Road before, the views there are pretty spectacular. I had so much fun with these lovebirds and technically my first engagement session. It was a fun break from families and newborns for sure! I am so excited to possibly do more Hawaii and Big island engagements and weddings this year 🙂

I will be very happy to guide you to some wonderful backcountry, off-the-beaten-path locations on the island! Secondly, rainy weather is always a concern here unlike the beach so someone local and familiar with the ever-changing weather of north Kohala will be your best guide!
