It is not a surprise that Hawaii is one of the world’s most famous locations for destination weddings. Majority of weddings here, though, happen on or close to the beach. After all, that is what Hawaii is famous for — warm weather, and beautiful beaches. But all the islands in Hawaii offer equally stunning non-beach wedding venues. One of my favorites here on the Big Island is Puakea Ranch on North Kohala. And a tiny tidbit, I actually shot my first-ever wedding at Puakea Ranch ❤️
The best thing about getting married in Hawaii is the lovely weather year-round on top of the variety of wedding locations to choose from! Beach, ranches, wilderness, mountain tops—take your pick! The options are endless and quite frankly everywhere is pretty and the sunsets are almost always stunning! If beaches are not your thing and you want a pretty spot away from the beach, consider this venue!
These two lovebirds flew all the way from Indiana to elope on one of the most beautiful ranch wedding spots on the Big Island. I arrived when Britney was getting ready and Matt was nervously waiting for the ceremony to start. Most couples usually come to Hawaii to get married at the beach but ranch weddings are just as pretty in Hawaii.
