As your Kona Hawaii photographer, I will be there to guide you in picking the location for your session. Because of the gorgeous and flattering light, I predominantly shoot at sunrise and at sunset. The beautiful sunset colors are a bonus!
When you book me as your photographer, you will get a client guide that will help you prepare for your session with me. In addition, you will get a location guide. It contains my favorite places to shoot on the west side of the Big Island. These locations are found around the Kona and Waikoloa areas. This guide will also help you pick one that best suits your family. Generally, I suggest picking a location that you think your kids will enjoy playing/walking around. For example, I don’t recommend beaches with lots of sharp lava rocks that are harder to walk on if they have toddlers. If you want lots of vegetation or greens in your photos, consider beaches that have those options. The west wise of the island is really dry and many of the beaches do not have plants and trees close enough to the beach or water.
Kona Hawaii Photographer – Family Photography
I met this family at a beach in Waikoloa shortly before sunset. We ended up with so many photos in the half an hour that we spent together! This beach location is perfect for families with older kids in the five to fifteen range. It is perfect for exploring lava fields and collecting sea shells!
