Often, I get asked what I love the most about being a Big Island Hawaii wedding photographer. It is a hard question to answer with just one thing. I truly love what I do and cannot see myself doing anything else. There are just so many things I love about being a wedding photographer here in Hawaii.
My journey into photography was super slow yet steady. But, through my transitions and growth from newborns, families, couples, and weddings, the insane privilege of being there for people’s biggest moments and milestones and capturing the emotions of the day is one of the biggest draws for me. I always leave a wedding in such a happy and emotional state! In addition, getting to share this insanely beautiful place, a place that drew me into professional photography, with couples who are here to get married in paradise is nothing short of a drean come true. Finally, it makes me utterly happy to deliver stunning images that allow them to relive their biggest and joyful days. Seriously, how did I get so dang lucky!
So today, I share on my blog a beautiful wedding at the Holualoa Inn. Deanna and Michael’s wedding was supposed to take place in the summer of 2020, right in the middle of pandemic craziness. Due to restrictions in Hawaii, their wedding was rescheduled to 2021. I am ecstatic that the entire team was finally able to pull off such a stunning wedding for these two super lovely people! It was a joy getting to work alongside the Bliss in Bloom team who effortlessly put together some of the best events on the Big Island. Lastly, mahalo to all the other wonderful vendors who made this whole day amazing!
