On the day after Valentines Day this year, Tira and Ikaika celebrated their wedding day on their beautiful backyard in Waimea on the Big Island Hawaii. It was such a pleasure to be their Hawaii wedding photographer. Under a stunning cherry blossom tree, in front of their family and friends, the couple exchanged their emotional vows. As a Hawaii wedding photographer—it was exactly those moments I was meant to be there for and capture. Having lived in Waimea for many years before moving down the coast in search for sunnier, warmer weather, Waimea is always the perfect escape from the heat and the blazing sun. The week before their wedding day, the island had a LOT of rain. The rainy weather eased up as their day approached and we had a rather perfect Waimea afternoon—started warm, rolling clouds, as misty rain every now and then a cool evening to end the day. A truly perfect day for a Waimea Hawaii Wedding!
